Keeping up with the latest technological advances is also going to give you an edge during the interview as well as the rest of your career. This is important even after you graduate, since the chances that what you have learned at your time in college would have already been outdated, is high. Keeping up to the times as they say, is crucial and employers will be looking out for this pro-activeness in you and will fire questions at you accordingly.
