Pushing Towards The Desire Of The Perfect Career
Have you ever considered your options for Careers and really wished you were able to get into a role you really love? Many of us hold some Career Ideas of things that we will only dream of obtaining, and it can be quite disheartening to then reflect back on what you’re doing now and ask yourself if you can ever really enjoy it. Plenty of people will never truly enjoy their jobs, wishing they could find New Careers to have a go at, but most of these people will give up and live life with the glass only half full. We’re going to glance over some of my dream Careers and discover why they don’t necessarily have to be just a dream.
At one stage in my life, I had hopes of becoming a games developer, if possible on the graphics and animation side of things. At the time I had reasonable A-Level scores and would have secured a position on a university course, being taught computer programming and learning design techniques in 3D animation and rendering packages. However, I decided against this, as I was fairly stubborn and said I despised maths. Now for anyone who doesn’t know, computer programming involves heavy mathematical work and I chose not to go along this path, a selection based purely on the maths work alone. A foolish decision I now realise, but the point here is not about the ridiculous choice, but the fact that these options never fully close off from you. It’s not always too late to go to university, or even enhance college grades for that matter. If you change your mind, you can always pursue your Career Ideas by enrolling on a course somewhere.
The next and more recent aspiration I had for New Careers was to work as a manga artist. I love mangas and animes, I think the art style incredible and fascinating and I wish I was skilled enough to do it myself. I have always been interested in drawing, but never been very talented at it, but why must that stop me from going after the dream? The option is always there for me to practice my sketching and again, even enrol on a course to study new techniques. Careers like these aren’t based off qualifications, but off personal ability, so if I wished to put the effort in, what’s to say I couldn’t attain this goal in the future. Certainly it would take a lot of practice and a lot of time spent doing it, it could perhaps be years before I could earn money from it, but again the important point here is the fact that’s achievable.
If there’s something you need to take away from this, it would be to consider that if you have an ambition and you are genuine about that goal, then why not aim for it? Chances are you can attain it if you put the time in, and if it truly is something you enjoy, then it definitely will be worth the wait in the end. Not all Career Ideas expect a natural talent, a talent can be something that you work for and acquire over time.
