Art and Design Careers can seem reasonably scarce, it’s not everyday you look through the jobs section on a website or newspaper and see requests for a designer. If searching for design Careers, then good computer skills is usually essential as almost all of your work will want touching up and finalising in professional software.

Because of the nature of these career choices, they are very competitive, so if you are interested it’s best that you maintain your work, practising when you are able and building up a decent portfolio. The current recession has not been kind to these jobs, so you’ll need to keep at it and don’t give up, it will probably be a sensible choice to have a temporary or part time job on the side until you can find a decent place.
