An initial challenge you face once you commit to work from home is allotting space for your work from home activities. If all you will be doing is Online jobs or other computer based tasks then you probably do not need a lot of accommodation but nevertheless you can’t work without some space. If home offices, spare bedrooms, attic conversions, basements and extensions are all impractical then you may need to look outside the house. If you do then much the simplest answer could be to press into service a caravan or motor home as your Work from home space.

You could consider such a solution is desirable only if you have a caravan or motor home at the present time. But just be aware, if you have to create additional space in your home you would be spending a large amount on constructing an extension or converting an existing area such as a loft or cellar. And a used caravan or motor home might be acquired quite cheaply, so buying one solely for your work from home activity can in reality be very cost effective. Further advantage of course is that you now own an asset which can be put to use for alternative purposes, such as vacations!

Prior to committing to such an investment however you should think about one or two of matters. Make sure you are entitled to store a caravan at your home continuously. Some homes have covenants which preclude this so you should check your deeds. Also, make sure you are able to hook up mains electricity to the caravan or motor home, you will need this to operate computers and perhaps for heating. Finally, use wireless internet and a cordless telephone facility and be sure they function at the location you intend to park the caravan or motor home. That way you will be able to work from home with ease and you will not need to run lots of wire cables through from your house.
